Thick fog hits North Sea traffic
All helicopter flights from Stavanger Airport Sola to North Sea offshore installations are delayed because of thick fog on Tuesday morning.
In the early morning hours just one departure, the HKS150 07:30 to Sleipner A, left the airport. This was delayed by over 30 minutes.
At 13.30pm, there were still delays and only one more flight had managed to leave the Heliport. This flight was heading to the Jotun field.
“Traffic to Ekofisk is delayed until further notice due to fog, but all personnel are asked to report for flights as normal,” ConocoPhillips writes.
