Airports authority Avinor is currently clearing space for a separate queue for security for the airlines' best customers.
"We'll be accommodating airlines flying to and from Sola wanting the opportunity to offer their services as much as we can," says commercial manager Ina Eldøy at Avinor Sola.
SAS has worked for several years to get the possibility in place for business travellers at Sola in the battle against the cheap airlines.
Oslo Gardermoen Airport already has a Fast Track Security service that SAS and several other airlines jointly finance.
Fast Track at Sola will be available for SAS travellers with a Plus ticket, EuroBonus Gold and Diamond cardholders, as well as Silver members during selected periods.
The facility for domestic flights opened at Oslo in the autumn. Fast Track is coming to Trondheim and Bergen at a later stage.
Norwegian will also offer Fast Track for all their customers travelling from Sola from 01st April.
There is no guarantee that the new facility will not have queues, however.
At the same time, Avinor already guarantees passengers will not have to wait for more than 15 minutes for security clearance at Sola.
Regarding the three major domestic routes, Stavanger-Oslo has 20 per cent oil industry-related traffic, Oslo-Bergen 10 per cent, and Oslo-Trondheim 4 per cent.
